Hydrogen is a stable and self-sufficient source of energy that can be generated from renewable resources to provide clean energy without CO2 emissions, and is suited to long-term storage for utilization on demand. To take advantage of these features in "normal time", H2EMS™ monitors factors including power generation, electricity use, and production and storage of hot water and hydrogen to automatically control and optimize the operation. In times of emergency, stored hydrogen can be used to provide a stable supply of electricity and hot water without depending on the grid.

Efficient use of renewable energy with H2EMS™

Maximum use of power generation capacity

Toshiba is pressing ahead with research to find more effective ways to use renewable energy. Toshiba's unique H2EMS™ integrates and manages each process in the production, storage, and use of hydrogen to maximize the efficiency with which a system's power generation capacity is used.
