Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation

Wind and solar power generation require technologies for stable power supply because both powers fluctuate greatly depending on the weather or time of day.
Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation has developed a technology that enables wind and solar power generation to be treated as a single virtual power plant (VPP) by controlling them along with rechargeable batteries and balancing power supply and demand. This technology will promote the installation of wind and solar power generation.
In addition, Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation has launched the Renewable Energy Aggregation Service for Renewable Energy Forecasting and Trading Operation Businesses and is working to balance power supply and demand.* Furthermore, the company operates EneHub™, a platform that matches renewable energy power producers with electricity retailers and consumers for electricity trading. The platform supports execution of off-site PPAs, including physical PPAs for trading renewable certificates with electricity and virtual PPAs for trading renewable certificates without electricity which is traded through the wholesale market.
While helping to spread renewable energy for the achievement of a carbon neutral society, Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation will contribute to achieving stable and efficient power systems.

  • A mechanism through which the operators of power generators, electricity retailers, and other entities align their generation and demand plans with actual generation and consumption.
