Toshiba Corporation Kashiwazaki Operations

Since FY2011, our Kashiwazaki Operations has been participating as a volunteer in the community woodland conservation activities run by the civic group Satoyama Environment Creation Network, with this year marking our 15th year of involvement. These seasonal conservation activities, such as maintaining the forests and waterfront areas, are carried out with the goal of protecting the community woodland environment and passing it on to the next generation. In particular, the kakitsubata (Japanese iris) is designated as an endangered species in Niigata Prefecture, and our efforts contribute to protecting its natural habitat. Furthermore, these activities provide a valuable opportunity for each of our employees to connect with nature, realize the importance of community woodland creation, and deepen their engagement with the local community.
