Toshiba JSW Power Systems Pvt., Ltd.
Toshiba JSW Power Systems focuses on the effective use of water resources and is reducing its water consumption, primarily by reusing approximately 70–80% of the rainwater it collects.
The company has installed a rainwater reservoir on its premises with a storage capacity of 10,000 m3. Rainwater collected from the building roofs via drainage gutters is transferred to the reservoir by an automatically controlled motor.
The rainwater stored in the reservoir is used for a variety of purposes, such as watering plants on the premises, cooling water for manufacturing processes, and flushing water for toilets. In FY2024, this contributed to a reduction in water consumption of approximately 18,000 m3. Additionally, the reservoir is cleaned before the rainy season to maintain water quality, and regular water quality tests are conducted by an external inspection agency.
