We combine our abundant experiences and state-of-the-art information technologies (IT) to support improving the power supply-demand adjustment capabilities and the stable and safe supply of power. Our initiatives include "power system monitoring and control system" for smoothly supplying power from power plants to consumers, "power system stabilizing system" for preventing wide-area blackouts when a system fault occurs, and provision of a training environment using training simulators.

A fault in a power system could result in a large-scale blackout. Toshiba provides power system stabilizing systems to swiftly control the system (e.g., shutting off a generator) at the time of a system fault to prevent wide-area blackouts.
Our power system stabilizing systems consist of the central arithmetic unit to calculate control content, central control unit to perform fault detection, control selection and control command output, and terminal unit.
