Joint Research with Japan Sewage Works Agency
We conducted a full-scale demonstration experiment in collaboration with the Japan Sewage Works Agency at the Ujiie Water Treatment Center in Sakura City, Tochigi Prefecture. The goal of this joint research is to enhance the treatment capacity of existing reaction tanks and promote energy efficiency.
Shutdown of existing reaction tank (1-1 system) by the operation of Habuki™
Water Treatment Flow of the Joint Resarch
In the experimental series, the influent sewage and return sludge are mixed within the Habuki™ device, and the mixture of treated water and return sludge flows into the existing reaction tank.
Goals of Pilot Plant Test
| Goal | ||
| Enhanced Capacity | Energy-saving | |
| Taeget Value | ||
| Flowrate of Experimental Series | Twice of Control Series | ― |
| BOD elimination rate of Habuki™ | 60% or more | |
| BOD conc. at Sedimentation Tank | 15mg/L or less | |
| Power Consumption of Experimental Series | ― | 30% or more reduced compared to Cotrol Series |
| Payback Period | 15yrs or less | |
Results of Pilot Plant Test in Japan
All development goals of the joint research have been achieved.
In addition, we voluntarily verified the nitrogen treatment performance and the generation rate of excess sludge, which were not part of the original development goals.
