Electromagnetic Flowmeter

Overview

Electromagnetic Flowmeter image

An electromagnetic flowmeter is used to measure the flow rate of water (e.g. tap water, sewage water). Without mechanical moving parts or protrusion into the pipe, this meter has many advantages, such as not being affected by pressure losses and being able to measure a wide range of flow rates.
We, Toshiba, offer a lineup of flowmeters, such as one capable of measuring the flow rate of fluids containing solids along with clear liquids, highly resistant to ozone, and multifunctional one with communication capability.

Highlights

  • Without mechanical moving parts or protrusion into the pipe, this flowmeter is highly reliable and not affected by pressure loss.
  • It is highly resistant to noise and capable of achieving stable output even when measuring the flow rate of fluids containing solids.
  • It is less affected by drift (uneven flow) in the pipe, compared to other meters with protrusion (based on our investigation in 2013).
  • This flowmeter made with corrosion-resistant materials is designed to measure a variety of fluids.

Battery-operated Electromagnetic Flowmeter

Overview

Battery-operated Electromagnetic Flowmeter image

A battery-operated electromagnetic flowmeter can operate with internal batteries for 9 years. This meter is suitable to measure tap water and attain the same level of accuracy as ordinary electromagnetic flowmeters. Instead of relying on electricity infrastructure, it operates without an external power supply.
Available diameters: 50 to 350 mm
