1. Who can apply for the program?

The program is primarily designed for early-stage startups (pre-seed to Series A/B) developing proprietary products or services in area related but not limited to Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML), smart infrastructure, healthcare, finance, and real-time analytics. Eligible small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) may also apply.

 

2.  What benefits are provided under the program?

Participants may receive complimentary access to GridDB Cloud for a limited period, dedicated technology support from GridDB experts, opportunities for joint marketing and promotion, and potential connection with Toshiba’s Corporate Venture Capital. All benefits are provided at Toshiba’s discretion.

 

3.  Is GridDB Cloud access completely free?

Eligible participants will receive complimentary access to GridDB Cloud service available at Microsoft Azure Marketplace for an agreed period, subject to usage limits and service conditions.

 

4.  Will participants receive funding from Toshiba?

The program may provide opportunities to connect with Toshiba Corporate Venture Capital. However, participation does not guarantee any investment or financial support.

 

5. What is the application period for the GridDB Startup Program? 

The first application period is from June 24, 2026 to September 30, 2026. After this initial period, applications will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis, and new application windows will be announced in due course.
