Introduction
Toshiba showcased its C-UAS Solution at SEECAT, the only
anti-terrorism trade show in Japan, 4 years in a row.
Toshiba exhibited at SEECAT which took place at Tokyo Big Sight from October 9 to October 11, 2024. During the three days, we had over 1,200 visitors.
We showcased our C-UAS solution including system deployment demonstration of Portable C-UAS. Also, we revealed actual long range radar and RF sensor for the first time. Displaying the actual items closely, we exchanged opinions with the visitors with the real operation in mind.
We felt strong attention of the visitors towards the drone countermeasures due to the recent advancements in drone technology and growing reports of its military use and misuse.
Actual equipment display encouraged visitors to imagine the actual use of products.
We unclosed actual equipment of long range radar and RF sensor for the first time. These products are capable of quickly detecting and tracking various size of drones without being affected by weather condition and time period. We introduced our products functions and features to the visitors while showing the actual equipment up close.
Especially from the customers related to critical facility security, we received very positive comments such as ‘it is very useful to early detection warning.’ In addition, regarding the other equipments we received high praise for the comprehensiveness of our total solution, with comments like 'solutions from detection to countermeasure can be quickly realized with this system,’ and we had discussions assuming actual operations.
Recognized the high level of interest as we received media coverage during the system deployment demo of Portable C-UAS.
We thankfully met many visitors at Toshiba booth, and we received valuable feedback and requests regarding issues for actual operation.
Also, the scene where we received media coverage during the demonstration of the system deployment demo of Portable C-UAS symbolically indicated the growing attention to the counter drone industry. We realized that the necessity of drone countermeasures has permeated a wider range of fields than ever before, and the interest and demand for systems are increasing more and more.
