Fanless and Compact

EC20 is an industrial computer economy model of high value which embodies high-reliability design technology, 24-hour continuous operation design, high maintainability, and the concept of long-term supply and maintenance based on many years of efforts by Toshiba.

EC20 model 100 employs an Intel Celeron 807UE processor (1.0 GHz), two giga-bit Ethernet channels (standard), four USB2.0 channels (standard), and a display function with a built-in CPU chipset. A highly reliable memory (2 GB) with ECC, a main unit monitoring function for hardware internal check, and SSD (option) combine to support 24-hour continuous, stable operation, which is demanded of industrial computers. This is backed up by product supply and maintenance over a long period of time.

Highly reliable, long-life parts are used, based on assumption of 24-hour continuous operation. The hardware is designed with derating taken into account.

ECC Memory Employed

A highly reliable ECC memory capable of automatic correction of 1-bit memory errors is installed.

Fanless Structure

No cooling fan means no need of periodic fan replacement, no fan noise, no dust taken inside, and no dust blown out.

Main Unit Monitoring Function

Operation over long hours is supported by hardware monitoring (of internal voltage, internal temperature) and watchdog timer monitoring.

Remote Shutdown Function

A remote shutdown signal input connector is a standard part, which may be used for safe shutdown in case a UPS (uninterrupted power supply) is attached.

Long-Term Steady Product Supply

The product supply period is five years from the day of product release and the maintenance period is seven years after the end of production. Because product supply is assured over a long period of time, you will be able to add one thing or another to your system, or expand your system step by step without worry.
