20Ah-HP cell
The 20Ah-HP cell has 40% less resistance than the previous 20Ah cell.
The 20Ah-HP cell combines the energy density advantage of high-energy type cells and the power density advantage of high-power type cells.
For example, it is suitable for high-load applications requiring continuous system operation and a reduction in the amount of heat generated, including commercial vehicles, rolling stock, and industrial equipment.
Compatibility
The 20Ah-HP cell provides higher input/output performance than the previous 20Ah cell with the same size.
The 20Ah-HP cell allows you to upgrade a system, reusing the existing 20Ah cell module/pack design for system integration.
Reducing the amount of heat generated
The 20Ah-HP cell has approximately 40% less internal resistance than the previous 20Ah cell.
Therefore, the 20Ah-HP cell generates less heat under high-current loads, making it possible to simplify a cooling system.
In addition, the 20Ah-HP cell can be used over a wide SOC range since the reduced resistance of the 20Ah-HP cell helps suppress overvoltage transients.
As a result of a WLTC simulation of a hybrid vehicle, we confirmed that the 20Ah-HP cell generates much less overvoltage transients and heat than the 20Ah cell.

Long life
The low-resistance 20Ah-HP cell generates less heat than the 20Ah cell during continuous charging and discharging and therefore provides longer life.
Because of enhanced long-life performance, the 20Ah-HP cell is suitable for applications that are continuously charged and discharged.
