Shanghai Hi-tech Control System Co., Ltd. (HITE) has adopted SCiB™ in the battery system for Rubber Tired Gantry crane for ports in China, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and other countries.
The regenerative energy stored in the battery when the crane lowers can reuse when the crane hoists or moves the crane body by tires.
The characteristic contributes to the reduction of environmental impacts such as energy-saving and low emission gasses.

This self-sustaining solar camera system with LED lighting stores electricity produced by a solar photovoltaic (PV) panel and uses it to power an all-night light and a camera. This system is suitable for use at places where it is difficult to run a mains power line, and can be used at no electricity cost.
A light and thin battery pack is attached on the back side of the solar PV panel. Therefore reduces the risk of battery pack being inundated in case of flood damage.

Daikyo and TELC jointly developed a new storage battery system for use in newly constructed condominiums. This system stores electricity generated by solar PV as well as cheap late-night electricity. The stored electricity is used as a power source for the common area of a condominium or as an emergency power supply in the event of a power outage. Toshiba Elevator and Building Systems Corporation (TELC)

SCiB™ provides uninterrupted elevator operation in the event of a power outage, in a paid option for the Toshiba SPACEL-GRⅡ machine room-less elevator

The optional feature allows uninterrupted elevator operation in the event of a power outage caused by a disaster. The elevator can continue a low-speed operation on battery for up to two hours. Additionally, the elevator does not stop abruptly but instead comes to a slow halt on the nearest floor, and then smoothly switches to battery operation. At ordinary times, the feature provides a hybrid operation with batteries while saving energy by charging the batteries with regenerative power produced during the elevator operation.


Cold roll box

SCiB™ is used in a portable freezer refrigerator for transporting frozen and refrigerated goods

Portable cold roll boxes (CRBs) are used to transport frozen and refrigerated goods from one distribution depot to another. A thin, small battery pack is housed in a narrow space in the CRB. It can be charged in roughly two hours.
