SUZUKI MOTOR CORPORATION

SCiB™ contributes to improving fuel efficiency.

SCiB™ is used in SUZUKI's Mild Hybrid, S-eNe CHARGE and eNe-CHARGE. SCiB™ helps enhance SUZUKI's fuel-saving technology by storing the electric energy produced during deceleration. This energy is then used to run the motor that assists the combustion engine* and operates other automotive equipment.

*Except eNe-CHARGE

NISSAN MOTOR CO.,LTD

SCiB™ chosen for use in Dayz, Dayz Highway STAR, ROOX, and ROOX Highway STAR

SCiB™ has been adopted for the battery installed in Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.'s "Dayz / Dayz Highway STAR / ROOX / ROOX Highway STAR ".
The highly efficient energy recuperation system of the new cars uses kinetic energy harvested during deceleration to charge the battery. In the mild hybrid system of Dayz Highway STAR / ROOX / ROOX Highway STAR, a gasoline engine drives the car, but an electric motor assists the engine during starting and acceleration. SCiB™ has contributed to enhance vehicle power performance and fuel efficiency.

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation

SCiB™ chosen for use in eK Wagon, eK X, eK space, and eK X space

SCiB™ has been adopted for the battery installed in Mitsubishi Motors Corporation "eK Wagon /eK X /eK space / eK X space".

Mazda Motor Corporation

SCiB™ has been adopted for MAZDA3

SCiB™ has been adopted for the battery installed in Mazda Motor Corporation's "MAZDA3".
"M Hybrid", Mazda's mild hybrid system, of MAZDA3, the gasoline engine drives the car, but an electric motor assists the engine to enhance fuel efficiency.

SCiB™ has contributed to enhance fuel efficiency.

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation

SCiB™ is used in Mitsubishi Motors' electric vehicles (EVs).

The i-MiEV's M grade, MINICAB-MiEV CD 10.5kWh and MINICAB-MiEV TRUCK electric vehicles utilize SCiB™. Mitsubishi Motors has selected SCiB™ because of its outstanding rapid charging/discharging and life-cycle performance as well as its low temperature performance.

Commercial vehicles

Nefaz OJSC

SCiB™ has been adopted by Nefaz OJSC for its fast charge electric bus in Russia

Nefaz OJSC has adopted SCiB™ for its fast charging electric bus. (Its battery system is manufactured by Drive Electro.) The electric buses are operating in Moscow (Russia) and contributing to zero-emission urban transportation.

Solaris Bus & Coach S.A.

SCiB™ has been adopted by Solaris Bus & Coach S.A. for its fast charge electric bus in Europe.

Solaris Bus & Coach S.A. has adopted SCiB™ for its fast charging electric bus. (Its battery system is manufactured by Impact Clean Power Technology .)
The electric buses are operating in Hannover and Hamburg (Germany), Barcelona (Spain), and Tampere (Finland), etc. and are contributing to zero-emission urban transportation.

Van Hool

SCiB™ is used in hybrid bus rapid transits (BRTs) in European cities.

Van Hool's Exqui.City hybrid tram bus uses SCiB™. (Its battery system is manufactured by Actia) Being operated in over 10 European cities, Exqui.City contributes to improving urban environmental issues.

Kawasaki Tsurumi Rinko Bus Co., Ltd.

An electric bus services a route between Kawasaki Station and the Kawasaki Municipal Hospital.

Sponsored by the 2012 Electric Vehicle-Based Green Regional Transportation Project of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) and the city of Kawasaki, Kawasaki Tsurumi Rinko Bus Co., Ltd. has been operating an electric bus between Kawasaki Station and the Kawasaki Municipal Hospital since March 30, 2015 The bus makes fifteen 2.4-km round trips every day between the station and the hospital to transport people to and from the hospital. It serves as a leading example of the public transportation system that Kawasaki is aiming to deploy as part of a smart city project for the future.

Northern Iwate Transportation Inc.

An electric bus services a route between Miyako Station and Jodogahama, located in a national park.

Sponsored by the 2012 Electric Vehicle-Based Green Regional Transportation Project of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), Northern Iwate Transportation Inc. has been operating an electric bus between Miyako Station and Jodogahama, located in a national park, since December 26, 2012. The bus makes four 12-km round trips every day between Miyako Station and Jodogahama. Jodogahama is one of the major sightseeing spots in the Sanriku Fukko (reconstruction) National Park. The electric bus service not only takes environmental concerns into account but also enhances the value of Jodogahama as a tourism resource, contributing to the rehabilitation of earthquake-stricken Miyako and the promotion of local tourism.

Field Testing Medium-sized EV Bus with Wirelessly Rechargeable SCiB™ Lithium-ion Battery

To verify the convenience and practicality of contactless charging, along with its contribution to reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions

The contactless charger was designed in collaboration with Professor Yushi Kamiya's laboratory of the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Waseda University, as a project commissioned by Ministry of Environment under its Low Carbon Technology Research and Development program. The Medium-sized EV bus driving test started at May 2016, and the bus operation has been available to ANA group employees since June.

Super Quick Charge-Electric Buses Enter Service in Malaysia

SCiB™ is used in the PUTRA NEDO EV BUS PROJECT.
The project has verified the operating performance of Super Quick Charge electric bus systems in a tropical climate and the operating life characteristics of the battery.
Term : Five years, from February 2015 to February 2020 (including planning and preparation)

*NEDO : Japan's New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization
