Toshiba's Stance on Reports of Possible Location of New Production Facility for NAND Flash Memory

Today (July 7, 2006), there were reports in the Japanese press to the effect that the company intends to build a new semiconductor factory and that the probable candidate site is Kitakami City, Iwate Prefecture.

At the moment, the details of the plan, including candidate sites, are still under consideration and yet to be determined.
