Prototype and factory automation technology
We swiftly and reliably support the full spectrum from prototype evaluation of Toshiba Group's strategic and new products to the establishment of mass-production systems, leveraging prototyping and FA*1 technologies to the fullest. We actively incorporate advanced technologies such as AI*2, IoT*3, and simulations, consistently engaging across the entire manufacturing process—from upstream prototyping and development of test equipment and production facilities to downstream production line construction. Through these efforts, we also contribute to Toshiba's global business expansion.

Factory automation technologies
Leveraging the latest factory automation technologies, we provide solutions for material handling, processing, assembly, inspection, and related factory operations. By developing essential automation technologies, applying mechanism design with 3D-CAD and simulations, integrating high-speed, high-precision equipment control, and digitizing manufacturing site information through IoT, we create differentiated manufacturing equipment unlike anything else on the market. We align production capacity, cost, and quality of production lines and equipment with business and product requirements, while promoting DE/DX*4 and CN/CE*5 initiatives to establish optimal production lines.

Machinery, Parts and Molds Implementation technologies
We bring to life manufacturing equipment, parts, and molds designed using the Production Technology Center's process and mechatronics technologies, employing skilled processing, assembly, and wiring, and supply them to Toshiba Group's manufacturing sites both in Japan and overseas.

Equipment prototyping technologies
We conduct prototype development for technology demonstration with a view to research and commercialization. By handling everything consistently—from mechanical and electrical design to processing and assembly—we bring researchers' and engineers' needs to life, enabling rapid prototyping of R&D equipment. Seamless collaboration from design through manufacturing allows us to quickly deliver high-quality, reliable PoC*6 and prototypes quickly, accelerating development and shortening time to market. Through improved prototype quality, cost reduction, and shorter development cycles, we comprehensively support Toshiba Group's R&D and help strengthen its competitiveness.
