TOKYO—Toshiba Corporation (TOKYO: 6502) is once again on the Clarivate Top 100 Global Innovators^™ 2022, the annual listing of the world’s most innovative companies published by Clarivate, a global information services company.

Introduced in 2012, as the Top 100 Global Innovators report, the Clarivate listing is now an internationally recognized yardstick for corporate creativity. Toshiba featured in the first list, and today is one of a very select group that has made the cut every year, for eleven years in a row.

Clarivate applies multiple criteria in the data-driven analysis used to draw up the list: the influence, success, globalization, and technical distinctiveness of companies and organizations that meet a threshold level of international patent applications. The candidates are then narrowed down to the world's 100 most innovative companies and organizations; those that protect original inventions with IP rights and take them through to commercialization.
