Using the Toshiba Electronic Virtual Gallery

  1. The 3-D mouse and moving 3-D computer graphics allow visitors to the Electronic Virtual Gallery to roam freely around the island. The mouse is also used to display selected pictures on a 110-inch screen.

  2. The mouse allows visitors to move forward and backward, change direction and look up and down. The display screen shows the image the visitor would see if actually walking around the island gallery, with the landscape and views of pictures reflecting the visitor's viewpoint and perspective. Views are updated in real time, as the visitor moves.

  3. A work that interests the visitor can be retrieved from the T-Brain Club's database and viewed enjoyed on a high-definition TV screen.

  4. The Toshiba Electronic Virtual Gallery at SMAIS Toshiba will be open to the public until the end of March 1997.
