姫路地区の東芝グループ関連会社および姫路市水族館の指導を得て構内のビオトープ池に放流した40匹のカワバタモロコ（兵庫県絶滅危惧種Aランク）を最大107匹まで繁殖、現在は49匹生息中。今後さらに繁殖させ、近隣の揖保川水系への放流を計画しています。
40 golded venus chubs (Hyogo Prefecture Red List Rank A) wich were released in the company`s biotope pond with the guidance of Toshiba Group affiliates in the Himeji area and the Himeji City Aquarium, have been bred up to maximum number of 107, 49 currently inhabiting the biotope. We plan to breed more of the chubs and release them into the nearby Ibo River system.

Golden venus chubs

工場敷地を利用し、アサギマダラやジャコウアゲハが好む植物のフジバカマ、ウマノスズクサを育て、渡り蝶のアサギマダラの中継地や姫路市蝶「ジャコウアゲハ」の繁殖地づくりをしています。ウマノスズクサの花壇には最大約800頭のジャコウアゲハ幼虫が生息し、蝶の巣立ちに貢献しています。
We grow thoroughworts and birthworts, plants favored by the chestnut tiger butterflies and Chinese windmills, to create a stopover site for the migratory chestnut tiger butterflies and a breeding ground for the city-butterfly Chinese windmills. Up to approximately 800 larvae of the windmills live on the birthworts, being anticipated to safely departure from the plants.
