姫路半導体工場では、2013年度よりフジバカマとカワバタモロコを保護しています。フジバカマは、本州中部、四国、九州に分布するキク科の多年草で、９月頃に淡紅紫色の花が咲かせます。当工場にて保護しており、今年度も構内での開花を観測しております。カワバタモロコは、本州西部、四国北部、九州北西部に分布するコイ科の魚で、繁殖期には雄の体が綺麗な金色になります。当工場にて保護しており、構内丸池に約150匹のカワバタモロコが生息しています。6月と10月に定期的な個体数調査を行っており、状況把握と個体数の維持に努めています。

Since FY2013,Himeji Operations-Semiconductor has been conserving thoroughworts and golden venus chubs. Thoroughworts is a perennial herb of the Asteraceae family distributed in central Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu, with light reddish-purple flowers blooming around September. It is protected at our plant, and we have observed its blooming on the premises this year. Golden venus chubs are a member of the carp family distributed in western Honshu, northern Shikoku, and northwestern Kyushu. We protect them at our plant, and approximately 150 venus chubs live in the `round pond` on our premises. We conduct periodic population surveys in June and October to monitor the situation and maintain the population.
