Global 60 (approx.) sites of Toshiba Group engage in various kinds of biodiversity conservation activities, such as building of ecosystem networks, conservation of rare species and responding to marine plastic issues.
東芝グループでは同グループの長期環境ビジョン「環境未来ビジョン2050」の実現をめざし、「第7次環境アクションプラン」を策定しています。同アクションプランは「気候変動への対応」「循環経済への対応」「生態系への配慮」の３分野での取り組みを推進し、持続可能な社会、すなわち脱炭素社会・循環型社会・自然共生社会の実現に貢献していくことを目標としています。東芝グループは生物多様性保全活動を「生態系への配慮」の重要な活動項目としてとらえ、「５つの活動テーマ」と「３つの拡大・深化ツール」の掛け合わせにより、地域に密着したさまざまな保全活動をグローバル約60拠点で推進しています。
Toshiba Group has set `the 7th Environmental Action Plan` in order to realize `Environmental Future Vision 2050,` the Group`s long-term environmental vision. The Plan aims to realize a sustainable society—in other words, a decarbonized society, a resource circulating society, and a society in harmony with nature—by implementing its initiatives in three areas: `response to climate change,` `response to the circular economy,` and `consideration of ecosystems.` Under the notion that biodiversity conservation is an important component of `consideration of ecosystems,` we are carrying out our conservation activities through the combination of the "five activity themes" and the "three boosting tools" at global 60 (approx.) sites.
