Toshiba Group exhibited for the first time as a standalone entity at 'Eurosatory 2024', the world's largest defense exhibition which took place in Paris, during 17 to 21 June, 2024. Over the five days, the venue had more than 76,000 visitors from 150 countries. Toshiba booth greeted over 800 guests.
At our booth, we showcased the C-UAS solution which is in high demand internationally as a measure to drone-related terrorism and attacks. In addition, we exhibited the coastal surveillance 3D radar which can be used in realms of border security, and the high-performance, compact radar modules, –successfully miniaturized modules for aircraft installation.
Ukraine war continues to enhance interest in counter drone products
This being the first exhibition in Paris, we were honored to have many visitors from various national defense ministries and governmental agencies to our booth. In discussions that envisioned specific threats and operational scenarios, we were able to widely recognize the effectiveness of our counter-drone system, which is needed in various situations regardless of the country.
We were also able to make contact with representatives from leading integrator companies in different countries and were able to have fruitful discussions and exchange of opinions regarding our products with a view to future system integration.
First ever exhibition of our newest compact wideband radar modules specially designed for aircrafts
In addition to C-UAS solution, a portable coastal surveillance 3D radar and high-performance, compact radar modules were displayed. The radar modules were exhibited for the first time at a show attended by general industry. The products successfully achieved wide radar processing bandwidth and miniaturization for aircraft installation.
We received more interest from visitors than initially anticipated. We were able to meet end users and integrators from many countries who were interested in working on collaboration with our modules.
Toshiba's presence well promoted in the defense sector. Good impression of our C-UAS solution was heard.
We received valuable opinions from visitors with different technical backgrounds, which strongly reinforced our perception that the changing environment surrounding drones and the demand for advanced surveillance and caution are being addressed as significant challenges in the world than in Japan. We will make use of the opinions and requests received from our visitors to further innovate our technology and develop new products.
We shall also continue introducing our solutions at events and exhibitions, not only domestically but also globally. Please look forward to the ongoing evolution of our technology and solutions.
