An article on Toshiba’s strategic reorganization was included in the March edition of FACTA, released on February 20. It is very regrettable that this inaccurate and misleading story – which is not based on the facts – was published. 

Toshiba is advancing a strategic reorganization plan to separate the company. We firmly believe this is the fastest, most effective and efficient way to deliver sustainable profitable growth, enhanced shareholder value and compelling benefits to customers, business partners and employees. 

Stakeholder input is an important part of the process, and Toshiba’s management team and the Board of Directors will continue to seek their opinions and feedback as we move ahead with the strategic reorganization.  

In addition, at Toshiba, the Board’s Nomination Committee formulates a proposal for the selection of the President and CEO that is submitted to the Board of Directors for a final decision. The Company’s management team does not decide who is appointed to be the President & CEO.
